2011 Adult Workshop

It’s time to register for the 2011 Explore the Arts Summer Workshop!

Keeping with ISA’s mission to preserve, strengthen, and disseminate the rich and artistic Spanish heritage through dance, music, and visual arts, this summer the Institute of Spanish Arts will offer Workshops during the month of July.

Adult Workshop Specifics:

Dates: July 10-16

Important!!! Registration and Class Placement will take place Sunday July 10 Beginning Tangos, Intermediate and Advanced Classes from 10:o0-1 pm and Flamenco Level 1 and Guitar Classes at 4pm at Larragoite Elementary (1604 Agua Fria). During this time students will get to meet instructors and receive small demonstrations of each class, this will be important in order to choose the correct class and level.  It is highly recommended that students attend this session to achieve correct Class Placement and Registration. _______________________________________________________________

We are offering workshop classes in Flamenco/Spanish Dance, Guitar, and Spanish Language Classes.

Flamenco/Spanish dance classes will be given by guest instructors: Antonio Granjero, Estefania Ramirez, Domino Martinez and Charo Shaffer-Perez  in various levels ranging from Beginning, Level 1, Intermediate and Intermediate advanced.

Beginning Tangos with Charo Shaffer-Perez $125

Class is for beginners in Spanish Dance.  Emphasis on correct posture and technique as well as the Tangos compas and a Tangos dance.

Spanish Guitar with instructor Joaquin Gallegos $200

All levels welcome. Emphasis on correct posture and technique as well as compas, musicality and phrasing. Class will move quickly and will have advanced material.

Spanish Language taught by Instituto Cervantes $90 for full course!
